A Sunny snapshot from our Lenten Lunch!

LET IT GROW…

Lent has been called the Springtime of the Church.  It is a time of growth, flourishing and fruitfulness! We pray that our lives may be fruitful, as we journey closer to our Easter celebrations.

LENT

Our journey through Lent is well underway! With daily Mass and Prayer, Stations of the Cross, Lent Lunches, a vibrant Lent Course, and so much more, we’re praying that we will grow together and have our faith deepened.

Talking about prayer at our Lent Course
TO LIVE TOGETHER WELL

This is our Lent Course for 2022, exploring some things that we can do together to build up our relationships and to deepen our Christian discipleship. We are doing this by looking at a Rule of Life. We aren’t just doing this for ourselves, but rather to look at our life together as churches in South Cardiff belonging to the wider church.

We know that in any group of people you must have a set of expectations of how you will belong together. A Rule of Life is not there to create difficulties for us and make us do things that prove impossible, but rather to help us to reflect on how our journey of faith is going, to think about what we are able to do well and to reflect on the things that we need to do better.

Check out Fr Edward’s Blog Post on the Diocese of Llandaff website, written after our second session on PRAYER: ‘What happens when we pray?

The next evening session takes place on Wednesday at 7pm at Ss Dyfrig and Samson, with the mosrning session at St Paul’s after the 10am Eucharist.

GET GARDENING – AT SS DYFRIG & SAMSON

A few of our churches have received fruit trees and pots from Natural Resources Wales. Ss Dyfrig and Samson is one of these and we are planning on placing them around the boundary fence at the front of the church.

Why not join us for a working party on Saturday 26th March from 11.30am to tidy and plant before Mothering Sunday? We also welcome donations of money or plants and shrubs. Let’s get gardening!

EASTER FLOWERS

Our churches are already getting ready for Easter! At St Saviour’s if you’d like to donate flower arrangements (in memory or thanksgiving) then please see Gwyneth. Flower arrangements will need to be paid for by Sunday April 3, please.

Beginning with a Barbecue at 5pm we’ll gather in church for worship at 6pm. To help us with catering it would be really good to have some indication of who’s planning on coming along! This is an exciting initiative, so we’d love as many people as possible to come along!
