Hymns and Music
We will discuss arrangements with the family regarding hymn choices and the possibilities for additional music, and we will also take responsibility for booking an organist.
Order of Service
From our perspective, all that is generally required in the printed ‘Order of Service’ for people to participate are the words of the hymns. The family may wish to add extra information such as details of additional music, and details of the eulogy and any other personal things they wish to share. Sometimes, a ‘running order is required, which is:
Entrance Procession (Music)
(First Hymn)
Introduction and Opening Prayer
Readings
Prayers and Lord's Prayer
(Eulogy)
(Second Hymn)
Prayer of Commendation
Exit / Procession to the Place of Committal (Music)
Livestreaming and Wi-fi
Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity for us to take responsibility for live-streaming the Funeral Services in any of the churches. There is wi-fi available at St Paul’s Church and St Dyfrig and St Samson if families wish to make their own arrangements but there is not presently wi-fi at St Mary’s Church or St Saviour’s Church
