Our ‘Faithful Cardiff’ self guided walks take you along a journey as we discover how faith has played a part in the growth and life of Cardiff.
At the moment, we have two walks through Butetown and around Cardiff Bay and another which leads us through parts of the city centre.
There is also another walk which leads us through the life of a pioneer priest of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, Fr Griffith Arthur Jones.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, we hope you’ll find some fascinating facts about faith in Cardiff.
The walks are hosted on our sister website stmaryscf10.
Faithful Butetown
A walk through Faithful Butetown beginning at Callaghan Square and ending at the edge of what is now known as Cardiff Bay
The Water’s Edge
This walk picks up where the other left off, hanging around at the edge of Cardiff Bay before we skirt the water’s edge
Prior Warnings
Beginning at the statue of Betty Campbell near Cardiff Central Station , we take a short walk into the city centre.
Fr Jones of Cardiff
This is a very different kind of journey which takes us around Cardiff and Wales, as we discover a pioneer priest of the catholic tradition, Fr Griffith Arthur Jones.
Pilgrim
We hope to extend our trails to include other parts of South Cardiff and the city centre.
In the meantime, have you seen our PILGRIM project which celebrates the ancient saints of our land, and the “Llanscapes” of Wales?
