God our Father, bless us as we gather here at the doorway of our home. Protect us from darkness and fill us with the grace of Christ who calls us to welcome all who come in his name. We ask this through Jesus the Lord. Amen.
The letters CMB also abbreviate the Latin phrase Christus mansionem benedicat, "May Christ bless the house."
