In the midst of grief, we pray that you will know the comfort of God’s Spirit and the light of Christ, and the hope which comes from the message of eternal life.
Bible Reading
Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Prayer
Almighty God, to you all hearts are open,
all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit,
that we may perfectly love you,
and worthily magnify your holy Name;
through Christ our Lord. Amen
