November

During November there are many moments when we remember and pray for those who have died. As the days shorten, and the darkness deepens, we seek the light of Christ, the hope of Heaven, and the comfort of God’s Holy Spirit.

I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

To you, O Lord, I commend the souls
of those I love yet no longer see,
those who have died and whose presence I miss.
It fills me with pain
but the promise of peace fills my heart.
The hope of Heaven raises my eyes to you, O God
for nothing can separate us from your love.
  • Throughout November, you can request for one of the daily Masses to be offered for a departed loved one.
  • There is a Memorial Service for those who had died over the last year and whose funerals have taken place here.
  • There are other times, too, such as All Souls’ Day on November 2, Remembrance Sunday, and other Memorial Services like the Homelessness Memorial Service.

Please feel free to get in touch to find out more.
