Lent has been called ‘The Springtime of the Church.’ It is a time for growing in the Christian Faith as we journey towards Easter Sunday and the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection from the dead.
We’re pleased to share some of our own resources which may be useful for your own context.

Lent Courses
Just Lent
JUST LENT consists of five sessions which provide an opportunity to explore what we mean by Justice in the context of the Christian Gospel.
It begins from the catholic perspective of social justice including our belief in the dignity of every human being, the call for solidarity and community, appreciating Gods love of the poor, and a call to care for God’s creation. The course relates each of these areas to the celebration of the Eucharist, so we can appreciate more deeply the link between our worship and our life of service.
between our prayer and daily living.

Faithful Lives (Coming Soon)
In 2024, we are creating a new Lenten Course, exploring our place and calling as Christians in a multi-faith and multi-cultural world.
Since, its being formed week by week, we’ll publish it at the end of Lent.
To Live Together Well
Inspired by the monastic communities which began so many centuries ago to help them live well, we explore how we can live and grow together, strengthen the community of Faith of which we are a part, and serve and be a witness to the wider community.
Daily Reflections
For us, the momentum of Lent is sustained by Daily Mass and Prayer, but we also want to encourage people to keep up the momentum in their daily lives, wherever they are.
These daily reflections are offered as a resource to accompany people along the Lenten journey.
Just Lent
These reflections were created for Lent 2023 when our theme was JUST LENT. Using readings from the Daily Mass, each reflection challenges us to be alert to the injustices present in our world today.

Forty Days (Coming Soon!)
Although this collection of meditations on the Mass are suitable all year round, they may also serve quite neatly as a resource for people during the Lenten journey. They were initially published as daily blog posts so we’re busy collating them into a neat printable booklet!
Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross is a moving Lenten devotional as we trace the journey of Jesus to Golgotha, stopping along the way to reflect on various moments. We have a number of resources available.
My Stations of the Cross
These Stations were written as a means of seeing the world and expressing our faith through the lens of young people, dealing with some of the issues which they may experience.

Just Stations of the Cross
These meditations confuse – or, rather, intertwine – our meditations on the suffering of Jesus with the experience of some who experience injustice in our world today.

Stations of Jesus, High Priest and Victim
A simple Stations of the Cross of Jesus, High Priest and Victim, written for Lent 2023 when our theme was JUST LENT.

The Way of the Cross
This is a short and simple Stations of the Cross with poetic reflections and images of the Stations at St Mary’s Church. The booklet is designed in A6 size.

Eleven | Their Words
Using the actual words of eleven years old children, these Stations explore some of their observations and experiences of drug dealing and drug use on their doorstep, in the places where they play, in their daily lives.

Prayer Resources
During Lent, the Springtime of the Church, we are called to more intense prayer, fasting and charity. These prayer resources are offered to enrich the prayer of pilgrims along the Lenten journey.
For the Journey
This Prayer Companion for Lent is an A5 booklet featuring some well prayed prayers and accompanied by images of the season from St Mary’s Church.

Rosary Devotions
Similar to the JUST Stations of the Cross (above) these devotions on the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary again confuse or rather intertwine our Scriptural meditations and the experience of injustice in the world today.
They are ideal for use during Lent but also suitable throughout the year.

Articles of Faith
Discover a selection of articles suitable for Church Magazine, parish publications and blog posts which you can use and adapt for your own purposes.
They are provided in Word format for ease of editing, copying and pasting.

Holy Week
At Home with Holy Week
‘This is the Night: at home with Holy Week’ offers helpful insights to the celebrations and commemoration of each day of Holy Week.
It was written to accompany people during Holy Week when churches were closed during the COVID pandemic, but it remains a suitable accompaniment for any year, offering reflections and insights into each day of Holy Week.

Sul y Blodau
There is a tradition, in many countries, of visiting the graves of loved ones on Palm Sunday, and this is certainly the case in Wales. This resource provides prayers for this occasion.
Coming Soon
We hope to add further resources for Lent, Holy Week and Easter, so please do return to discover more as we continue to trawl and collate our archives!
